Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Various shift patterns and start times, weekend working involved.

​

Day & Afternoon Shifts:

  • 4 on 4 off

  • Tuesday to Saturday

  • Wednesday to Saturday

  • Thursday to Monday

  • Monday to Friday

 

Night Shifts:

  • Tuesday to Saturday

  • Wednesday to Saturday/Sunday

  • Friday to Monday

Salary: £16.13-£17.45 per hour

Based: Chesterfield, East Midlands

Romac Logistics is expanding and recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E) ahead of the opening of our new 251,000 sq ft East Midlands logistics facility located at Junction 29A on the M1 corridor.

 

This major new operation will support increasing customer volumes across retail and refrigerated distribution, and we are now building our long-term driver team ahead of the move.

Roles and Responsibilities:

​

  • Class 1 trunking work between depots and RDCs

  • Refrigerated trailer deliveries

  • Completion of vehicle checks and transport paperwork

  • Compliance with driver hours and Working Time Directive regulations

  • Some self-tip deliveries where required

  • Safe and professional operation at all times

​

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence

  • Driver CPC qualification

  • Digital Tachograph card

  • Good understanding of WTD and driver hours

  • Reliable and professional attitude

  • RDC and refrigerated experience beneficial

​
